Sofia Perez, who owns CharacterCounter<\/a>, has two daughters, ages 4 and 6. Sofia struggles with social anxiety, which she has experienced her whole life, although she says it has become more of a struggle the older she has gotten and especially since becoming a mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuddenly, I was thrust into a world of constant social interaction, and I just couldn't cope,\u201d Sofia tells CafeMom of life after becoming a mom. \u201cI became extremely withdrawn and found it hard to even leave the house. Since becoming a parent, my social anxiety has definitely increased.
